Character set change impact analysis

Before changing the existing character set to a new character set, we can analyze the impact of the change (in advance) by using the csscan utility.

$ csscan system/manager FULL=Y TOCHAR=WE8ISO8859P1 ARRAY=1024000 PROCESS=10

NOTE:

Change O7_DICTIONARY_ACCESSIBILITY parameter in init.ora, if this utility is not executed by SYS.

Before executing csscan utility, create character set migration utility schema, using csminst.sql. Otherwise csscan will throw CSS-00107: Character set migration utility schema not installed
