“map : Permission Denied” for OS authenticated users

When an OS authentication user (not in dba group) try to connect using

$ sqlplus /

get messages like

9564236 : map : Permission Denied
9564236 : map : Permission Denied
9564236 : map : Permission Denied

With the Partitioning and Data Mining options

SQL>

Finally user connects.

SOLUTION:

run $ORACLE_HOME/install/changePerm.sh, to relax permissions.

Caution: Security aspects should be considered, before running this script.
