Oracle RAC Resolving User Equivalance error

Some easy checks to resolve user equivalence problem, before RAC install on Solaris

Check 1

$ which ssh
$ which scp

If you see the output like /usr/bin/ssh or /usr/bin/scp, then create Links for ssh & scp.

This is required, as oracle expect them to be in /usr/local/bin & not /usr/bin

su – root
mkdir -p /usr/local/bin
cd /usr/local/bin
ln -s /usr/bin/ssh
ln -s /usr/bin/scp

Check 2

Add entry in /etc/hosts.equiv

node2 oracle
node1 oracle

Run stage -pre crsinst -n node1,node2 -verbose and verify the results again
